India’s IT sector has witnessed a sharp uptick in the number of job openings, with over half of the job openings being for the tech sector.
Tech startup in the country has recently seen a significant surge in job openings for IT engineers, with the likes of Snapdeal, Flipkart and Shopify hiring a whopping 15% from the Indian workforce, according to job listings by job portal job.com.
The job listings show that a total of 2,056 IT jobs were posted by the start-ups on the job site over the last few months, up from just under 6,500 in January, with job openings ranging from engineering to finance and technology, including technology and telecoms.
Job.com says that the average wage for the job seekers is Rs 11,000 a month.
The company says the job listings will continue to grow as they are updated every month.
